This saw is the best there is. ~ reviewed by Wesley K. Chastain

I volunteer as a section maintainer on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina and use this saw to clear fallen trees. It makes short work of even dead and dry trees and has exceeded my expectaions in every way. It is light weight and tough as nails. I would recommend the Ibuki to anyone who is looking for a high quality, high performance pruning saw.

A Samurai Sword of Pruning Saws ~ reviewed by My Two Cents

I have tried many saws in my work as a volunteer trail maintainer for state parks. The bow saws and the cheaper pruning saws bind when they cut. My favorite pruning saw is the Silky Curved Landscaping Hand Saw IBUKI 390, which is expensive, but worth every penny. The Silky is lightweight to carry with a comfortable handle and a strong blade that zips through everything I asked it to cut, even trees that were 12 inches in diameter. With the price of this blade, I’m going to stick to smaller branches, and call out someone with a chainsaw for the larger trees, but the point is that it CAN cut through something that thick. I got probably 100 hours or more of service before the blade lost its edge. When that wore down, I had it sharpened, but the sharpening did not last for long, so I bought a new blade.

Great for it’s intended job ~ reviewed by Mr. Kurt Tidmore

This saw isn’t exactly a chainsaw, but it is fast. It seems to be best for branches up to 4 or 5 inches. The grip is comfortable and the holster is handy and well built. The only improvement I can think of is that the blade could be a little longer. Otherwise it’s the best pruning saw you’re likely to find.

Very nice and useful cutter ~ reviewed by Gippi50

I am very pleased with this purchase, the cutter works fine with branches up to 25 cm diameter and the final cut is smooth saving the tree, no strenght is necessary when working, just pulling and the blade works easily with a thin cutting.

best saw ever ~ reviewed by yard girl

This is the best saw ever. With very little effort i am able to take down a tree with a 4 inch diameter.
I would buy this product again. Keep it in the safty sheath as the teeth are super sharp.

Silky Ibuki ~ reviewed by Cdsieg

I haven’t purchase a Silky yet that I wouldn’t give a 5 star rating on!

I have searched for hours on what compares to a Silky, trying to find something of similar quality for a lot less! I haven’t tried everything out there, but I can tell you I have tried several other name brand saws, pole saws and knifes and have wasted more money on junk trying to save money than I care to remember.

Great powerful saw with a nice sheath to keep it in.

My husband LOVES this saw ~ reviewed by Susie Q

My husband asked me to order this saw for him after he borrowed a 15 year old one from his brother – same saw. He has other hand saws that are cheaper. He used for the first time this weekend sawing down a small tree, about 5″ in diameter. He said it chewed right through it. He will use for sawing off small trees and branches. He said it would be a great backup to his chainsaw!

great saw ~ reviewed by Gary Correll

I use this saw to do cutting on smaller trees and limbs on the PCT trails. This saw can cut through most wood without any effort. It is an ideal size to strap to your hip or carry in your pack. The only drawback is its price which makes loosing it (like my first one) undesirable.

Performs as Expected ~ reviewed by W. Katzinski

The saw is well built and cuts very well. I have an acre of wood and use it everywhere. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that for the price, I was expecting it to do something magic. No magic here, just a good, albeit expensive, saw.

nice saw but too expensive ~ reviewed by tom fillmore

I bought this saw expecting “I will get what I pay for”, but for $77, it is just a pretty good hand saw. It is nice that it comes with a scabbard, but I think there are better saws out there (for the money). When I was at Lowe’s a couple of days latter I saw a slightly longer Corona Razor with an 18″ blade for only $21.50. It had similar teeth configuration to my silky and since it was so much cheaper I thought I’d give it a try, especially since I remembered Amazon had good reviews on these saws. Well, turns out it works better than the Silky. Part of that is perhaps because the blade is about 2.5″ longer, but it really ripped through green or cured wood branches with noticeably less effort. If I had it to do over again, I would have skipped this Silky saw and saved a bunch of dough, half of which I could have bought a nice scabbard for my Razor (which I will do anyhow).Buy it at Amazon
