Excellent saw! Would recommend to everyone. ~ reviewed by Tyre
This saw is AMAING. I cut through ~5in tree with ease. I almost cut down the whole tree, no need for any electric or motorized tools. It’s an excellent quality blade and scabbard is very nice too. It’s very nice to have so you don’t have to put the saw on the ground at any time.
The curved blade and the handle make it a very comfortable saw to use. It cuts smoothly with very little effort. I did not wear gloves and my hands were not sore or callused after use.
I love this saw and I’m very glad I chose to buy it over any power tool. I will use this constantly I can tell.
Great saw at great price ~ reviewed by Kerry
Great price, promptly sent and well packaged. Saw perfect for my applications around the orchard. Little getting use to curved blade but great for those tight and hard to get to branches.
Professional quality pruning saw. ~ reviewed by Chris Pooley
Oh snap! This is the second Silky I have bought and I am equally impressed with this one. I like the fixed blade and scabbard option for improved safety when I am taking down limbs in trees. The contoured handle means less fatigue through the putt stroke and I was able to take down some significant limbs in minutes with this well designed tool. The hooked end is also good for getting at stuff beyond arm reach. Scabbard is well designed and holds the saw securely when not in use.
When helping out my neighbors, they often suggest I fire up the chainsaw. When I am working in a precarious position, I will grab this one instead in many cases.
Excellent tool to have for property management ~ reviewed by James Goekler
Excellent tool to have for property management. I find that I use this where I used to grab a chain saw. Super sharp.
I use this when tree trimming. Light weight and fast cutting. I would recommend this tool.
An excellent saw; SO worth the money ~ reviewed by Peter Kirsch
Gotta say, it’s an excellent pruning saw.
Bought this after borrowing one from a friend who is an arborist. He’s had his for six years and uses it year-round, at work, cutting tree limbs 6-10 hours per day. So I was already impressed with the durability.
Getting a new one, freshly sharp, however, really opened my eyes. It cuts remarkably well. A single ‘forward-back-forward’ will get you through a 1-inch limb or sapling with ease. I’ve used it on limbs up to 4 inches in diameter and barely noticed. Haven’t noticed any decline in sharpness after two seasons of regular use.
I cut and maintain a lot of trails in wooded parts of the “Wisconsin Driftless.” This saw and a good machete are the only two tools I need to clear a rough path through just about any undergrowth or older forest. Ergonomics are very good; sheath is durable and offers lots of attachment options. I haven’t had any complaints with this saw after two years of use. Definitely worth paying the extra money.
If you want a lightweight, durable, accessible pruning saw on your hip, this is surely the one for you.
A perfect saw for almost any tree pruning job ~ reviewed by A. BIRD

great for pruning rosebushes or crepe myrtles or hard to … ~ reviewed by Cathleen L. Maley
Made in Japan, this is a quality garden saw. . . great for pruning rosebushes or crepe myrtles or hard to get at limbs.
Terrific hand saw ~ reviewed by Daniel Nolan
Terrific hand saw. I have many silky saws. Large teeth is good. Get the extra large teeth if you are cutting trees bigger than 5 inches. With silky saws you will not be using your chainsaw (over 8 inches in diameter chainsaw is better) as much as it is faster to do by hand. And you want the curved blade for it cuts better.
Loved the laplander for a long time until I saw the silky saw… check this video out ~ reviewed by Able2Survive
I have been using the Bahco laplander for a long time and have several in different packs. A friend of mine suggested a silky saw and I did a side by side test and the silky saw crushed the laplander. If you want to see the video here is a link
Zubat 300 Large Teeth 270-30 ~ reviewed by obetsr51
Great Japanese hand saw for cutting or pruning my apple tree. Excellent for branches bigger than a twig for this will cut through and closer than a motorized electric pruning saw due to better hand control. I would be another one again if I lose it.
