Corona 21″ Lopper ~ reviewed by Amazon Customer

Just bought these bypass loppers after extensive research. This particular line, the Stratashear, came highly recommended as professional quality, value added loppers. The Stratashear technology as noted in the product advertisement allegedly reduces friction and improves cutting efficiency. The blade opens wide, capable of cutting material between 1-1.5″ in diameter depending on whom you read. The blade is resharpenable and its wide mouth lends itself to this task. The handles are aluminum, elliptically shaped for additional high strength. The handles are covered with a hard rubber material. The loppers include two very effective heavy duty bumpers on the upper end enclosed in their own forged-in bumper cups for shock absorption. The product comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. It is very attractive with red handles and a very efficient-looking forged head. Advertised as being Made in the USA, I was surprised to find a small sticker inside the attached booklet from Corona that said Made in Mexico! They cost $39 and included FREE shipping (Amazon)…not a bad deal. Nonetheless, I am returning them. I discovered that the lenght-21″- is too short for me (I am 5’11”) and the hard rubber covers on the handles are too hard with little or no give. They also feel funny-shaped. Having said that, these are the BEST loppers that I’ve ever used. I am now reordering a set of Corona Stratashear 26.5 loppers from Amazon.

Corona AL 8150, a cut above the rest ~ reviewed by J Pearson

Product is lightweight and very easy to use. It comes with a plastic protective case for the cutter blade. I’ve been using it to trim small branches on a Black Olive tree. You need a heavy duty bypass lopper to trim it. Highly recommend.

Great Cutters ~ reviewed by William R Iandoloam

Nice clean cutting w/little effort. I should have spent the money to purchase these years ago. Over the years I have had other brands, this is the best I have ever used.

no more split wood handles ~ reviewed by Living in the Redwoods

I broke too many Corona professional grade wood handles in the past. I eventually tried other aluminum handle loppers and noted the stress on my wrists from the lack of bumpers. This Corona lopper, which has red aluminum handles by the way, seems to have solved my wrist comfort and handle durability issues with prior loppers. Cutting action is good for living wood branches of all types and less so with dead hardwood.

Great So Far ~ reviewed by jacoltrane

Like most tools – I got tired of buying crap. Do yourself a favor and pay up front. These loppers are heavy duty, super sharp, and offer good reach and leverage. They do the job right. I am breezing through 1″ green live oak all day. Recommended.

Made in America? ~ reviewed by Margaret Ann

This seems to be a fine lopper – it works well. But, I wanted something made in America – guess this was as close as I could get. Although it was made in Mexico, the parts were from the U.S.A.

Loppers ~ reviewed by Diane Langmaid

Looked all over for loppers made in usa. No luck – finally settled for these made in Mexico – at least it’s our continent. Have used them quite abit and they perform very well. Cut up to a inch piece of wood and don’t need alot of muscle behind them. So far they have not lost their edge. Are very comfortable for a small woman to use.

Corona AL 8150 ~ reviewed by JB

Using on never ending South Florida foliage. Good weight and balance. Handles up to 1″ branches, green or hardened without difficulty.

I am very satisfied with it so far ~ reviewed by Pamela Batz

I have only used this a few times. I am very satisfied with it so far. It is light, yet sturdy. It has worked well for what I needed.
